Debbie brings over three decades of specialist expertise in business rates, making her one of the most respected figures in the field. She joined Daniel Watney Partnership in 2008 as Partner, LLP member and Head of the Business Rates team, where she leads with deep technical knowledge and strategic insight.
She has previously served five years at the Valuation Office, before becoming a Director at the niche rating consultancy Dixon Rankin in 1993. Since then, Debbie has built a reputation for delivering precise, commercially astute rating advice to both landlords and tenants across a wide range of sectors.
Debbie is currently President of the Rating Surveyors Association (RSA), reflecting her standing in the profession. She is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Institute of Revenues, Rating & Valuation (IRRV), underscoring her commitment to industry standards and best practice.
Known for her meticulous approach and client-first mindset, Debbie advises on everything from rates management accounts to complex rating appeals. Her work spans the full spectrum of rating disciplines, and she is a trusted advisor to clients navigating the ever-evolving landscape of business rates.
