We advised Blue Orchid Hospitality, which forms part of our client, to secure planning permission and Listed Building Consent for the conversion of Atlas House, a vacant grade II listed office building in the City of London, into a 104-room high-quality boutique hotel.

Located at the junction of King Street, Queen Street and Cheapside, the Italianate-style building dates back to 1836 and had previously served as offices for over a century. Our planning strategy focused on sensitively repurposing the heritage asset while meeting the City’s aspirations for enhanced visitor accommodation and active ground-floor uses.

The approved scheme includes a destination restaurant, cocktail bar, health club and flexible public workspaces, contributing to the vibrancy of the Bank area and aligning with the Destination City agenda. We worked closely with the City of London Corporation to ensure the proposals respected the building’s historic significance while delivering meaningful regeneration.
