Redevelopment and transformation of Barnet House

Secured planning permission in the London Borough of Barnet for the comprehensive transformation of a vacant office building.

The project included an upward and outward extension to deliver up to 260 high-quality new homes. The scheme includes a mix of tenures to meet local housing needs, with affordable homes and the creation of new, flexible workspace at ground floor level to support local enterprise.

Significant public realm enhancements – such as landscaped pedestrian routes, improved lighting, and seating- will knit the development into the surrounding neighbourhood and encourage community use. The planning process involved close collaboration with the local authority, design team, and community stakeholders to balance housing delivery with employment retention, urban design quality, and environmental performance.
