Job description

As a Senior Valuation Surveyor you will carry out valuations on across multiple asset classes including office, retail, industrial and education sectors and alternative sectors such as purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA). Valuations will be carried out for a range of purposes including financial accounting, business and tax planning, asset management and strategic consultancy advice. You may be required to provide advice at any stage of the property lifecycle including for acquisition, development purposes, or disposal. You will do this by undertaking property inspections and the necessary due diligence and market research to support your interpretation and understanding of the market dynamics and issues affecting value.

You will also assist with the training and development of graduates within the department, help maintain relevant property databases and assist with providing economic and market commentaries.

You will be working closely with a variety of clients to provide them with timely, professional advice on their properties.

  • Specialising in providing valuation advice on across multiple asset classes
  • Undertaking formal Red Book valuations for a variety of purposes;
  • Assisting in portfolio valuations for financial accounting purposes;
  • Assisting with asset management and consultancy advice for landlord clients;
  • Working with a range of clients including investors, developers, landed estates, charities and members of the legal profession;
  • Providing advice to clients based on strong sector knowledge through wider collaboration with Daniel Watney departments and personal research;
  • Maintaining department databases;
  • Maintaining an understanding of both local and national real estate markets and industry trends;
  • Providing timely professional advice ensuring deadlines are met.
