The role
We are looking to recruit a motivated Junior Property Manager to join our residential management team. The Junior Property Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of privately rented properties across London.
The Junior Property Manager will play a key role in supporting the property managers, ensuring efficient operations, tenant satisfaction, and compliance of our residential assets while delivering excellent service to both landlords and tenants.
About you
You are a confident and organised property professional with experience in managing PRS residential property and a thorough understanding of current and upcoming legislative requirements in the sector. You will have excellent attention to detail, and a proactive mindset when it comes to maintenance, compliance, and tenant relations. Your communication is clear and professional, and you take pride in delivering a high standard of service across your portfolio.
Key Responsibilites:
- Manage the full tenancy lifecycle, from move-in to check-out, including inspections, maintenance coordination, and deposit negotiations.
- Act as the main point of contact for tenants, handling queries, disputes, and ensuring high service standards.
- Monitor rent collection and address arrears in line with policy.
- Ensure compliance with lettings legislation and maintain accurate records for audits.
- Use property management systems (e.g. PropMan, Dwellant) to maintain up-to-date and accurate portfolio data.
- Build strong relationships with tenants, contractors, and stakeholders to support smooth operations and business growth.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum 1 years’ experience in residential property management.
- Strong understanding of legislative requirements in the UK housing market.
- ARLA Propertymark Level 3 qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Ability to multitask and manage workload efficiently.
- Experience managing rental income and arrears processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with tenants and service providers effectively.
- Knowledge of property management software and Microsoft Office suite.
