About the Role
We are seeking a confident and accomplished Associate Partner to lead the management of a diverse portfolio of residential blocks and mixed-use developments. This senior-level role requires deep expertise in leasehold legislation, complex property management, and stakeholder engagement.
As Associate Partner, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to residents, leaseholders, commercial tenants, and freeholders. You will provide strategic oversight, ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and best practice standards. Alongside operational delivery, you will play a key role in developing client relationships, supporting business growth, and mentoring junior colleagues.
This is a leadership position with influence across the wider business, aimed at driving long-term value, portfolio performance, and service excellence.
About You
We’re looking for a confident and knowledgeable property professional with solid experience in leasehold and mixed-use management. You’ll bring excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. Commercially astute and solution-oriented, you excel at building strong relationships with clients, leaseholders, and commercial tenants. With a keen eye for detail and the confidence to lead meetings and projects, you will play a senior role within the team and act as a key contact for high-profile schemes. A professional, approachable manner and the ability to perform under pressure are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilites
- Manage a portfolio of residential blocks and mixed-use developments, ensuring high service standards and regular site inspections.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, residents, and freeholders; lead AGMs and resolve complex issues professionally.
- Prepare and manage service charge budgets, oversee major works and Section 20 consultations, and coordinate with accounts on invoicing and arrears.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, fire safety, and leasehold legislation, including managing risk assessments and certifications.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and service-driven culture.
- Support business growth through excellent service, identify improvements in portfolio performance, and contribute to strategic planning.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Significant experience managing leasehold and mixed-use property portfolios, including large and complex developments.
- In-depth knowledge of leasehold law, service charges, and residential block management.
- Excellent client service and stakeholder communication skills.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations (e.g. RICS, ARMA, Fire Safety, Building Safety Act).
- Able to lead on Section 20 works, H&S compliance, and contract negotiation.
- Confident managing budgets and financial reporting.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.
- Proficient in property management software (e.g., Propman, Qube) and MS Office.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- IRPM, RICS, or relevant property qualification (Associate or above preferred).
- Experience working with mixed-use or high-value developments.
- Experience of business development or client onboarding.
