Daniel Watney provides a dedicated 24 hour Helpdesk for reporting routine maintenance and emergency cover together with an in-house repairs team for minor maintenance to ensure that any issues are quickly resolved.

Daniel Watney offers high quality residential management services throughout London with a diverse range of clients including charities, livery companies, property companies, family trusts and private landlords, as well as right to manage companies, resident management companies.

Our partner led team of dedicated surveyors, property managers and management accountants provide both Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST) and Block Management services. We also focus on estate management for mixed portfolio of all tenure types for a number of clients with significant residential and commercial assets.

Armed with an experienced team of property managers and helpdesk, all aspects of property management are handled in an efficient, smooth and professional manner. The team members work closely with their Residential Agency Team colleagues to ensure a seamless and coordinated service.

Daniel Watney provides a dedicated 24 hour Helpdesk for reporting routine maintenance and emergency cover to ensure that any issues are quickly resolved. Larger repairs, planned maintenance and refurbishment projects are often managed in conjunction with our Building Surveying teams to deliver value and ensure compliance.

Our management accounts team has very many years’ combined experience and the accounting function takes care of property accounting for both commercial and residential properties.

As the partner in Charge of our Lease Advisory team, Richard provides rent review and lease renewal advice to owners and occupiers, as wider strategic real estate advice in terms of occupational strategies to include relocation, mitigating dilapidations, rating and service charge liabilities.

He is also the lead partner of our Valuation team working closely with clients to provide the highest standard of valuation advice for a wide range of purposes.

His clients include large and small corporate organisations, institutional clients, asset managers and property companies. He also acts for a large a number of Barrister Chambers and Charities.

Richard has over 21 years of experience in the market. He is a member of the RICS, a regulated RICS Valuer, an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and a member of the Investment Property Forum. He holds a degree from the University of West of England, Bristol and a Post Graduate Diploma in Property Investment.

Julian Goddard

Julian heads the residential departments at Daniel Watney, with responsibility for overseeing the residential management and agency teams. Having trained with Copping Joyce Chartered Surveyors, Julian joined the firm in 1996, and his experience in the central London residential market now extends to over 25 years.

Julian works with a number of charities, livery companies, property companies, family trusts and private landlords, together with freeholders, right-to-manage companies, and resident management companies. He regularly provides guidance on a wide range of residential projects including agency and development advice, as well on residential matters within the larger, mixed-use schemes and portfolios with which we are involved. Julian is also involved with residential block management and leasehold reform matters, working closely with the residential valuations teams.

He is a lead client report for a number of the firm’s clients including family trusts and charities, such as Richard Cloudsley’s Charity and the Estate Charity of William Hatcliffe, offering strategic investment and management advice for their London portfolios.
