SSAFA’s Norton House Project Wins Charity Award

SSAFA, a leading Forces Charity based in London, commissioned Daniel Watney to acquire properties for their Norton House project in 2007 and 2008.  Captain Peter Norton, and his wife Sue, were the original inspiration for SSAFA to address the gap that can occur in the care of service men and women adapting to family life after serious injury.

Daniel Watney researched, surveyed, negotiated the acquisition, and managed the conversion of the two properties currently within the Norton House project.  The first house is close to Headley Court, Surrey; a second is located in the Selly Oak area of Birmingham.

We are very pleased to learn that SSAFA Forces Help recently won an Award in the prestigious Charity Awards 2009, Disability Category, in recognition of such a successful project.

Key Daniel Watney Personnel:

Mark Stott – Building Surveying
Laura Hibberd - Acquisition
